The cause of paper broken after automatic die cutting

In recent years, with the packaging industry is difficult to recruit enough workers, many companies began to use a large number of automatic die-cutting machine. But often die-cutting section of friends reflect that the equipment will appear after a period of time the phenomenon of broken paper, what is the cause of it?

01 in the die-cutting knife knocked out or sawed out of the small mouth is not appropriate

(1) small openings mainly in the direction of paper movement, left and right sides can not open or less open a little.

(2) The small opening should be opened as far as possible in the finished box can be glued or folded in the inside of the part.

(3) If there is a small incoherent hole in the paper, a small hole must be opened in the die-cutting knife in the direction of paper movement on the die-cutting plate, so that the waste paper in the small hole will not fall on the steel plate and be dragged into the creasing line, causing the product to break at the creasing part.

(4) If the paper is thin, the strength of the paper is greater, the opening to less, shallow, narrow; if the paper is thicker hope, the strength is poorer, the opening is more, deeper, wider appropriate.

(5) If the edge of the finished box is flat, the opening should be more, deeper and wider; if the edge of the finished box is hooked, the opening can be less, shallower and narrower because the paper edge and the finished product will be hooked to each other.

(6) The faster the machine is running, the greater the acceleration and the greater the tension when pulling out from the stationary die-cutting position, the more points are needed on the printed sheet before it is broken, and the opening needs to be more, deeper and wider.

02 die-cutting version of the adhesive strip will stick to the sides of the die-cutting knife

Knife stencil version of the adhesive strip on both sides of the die-cutting knife, for each die-cutting after the paper from the die-cutting knife to pop up, if the adhesive strip is flattened, the height is lower than the height of the knife or adhesive strip is too little, or in the die-cutting fell, die-cutting paper will stick to the die-cutting knife, then chatter teeth chatter a pull, the paper will be broken. In addition, do not use the self-adhesive tape, and the manual paste method, the wrong adhesive in the tape surface, under greater pressure will also stick to the paper caused by paper shattering, therefore, to promptly check the replacement tape.

03 die-cutting pressure is too large

Die-cutting pressure is too large, or a particular part of the pressure is particularly large, will be pressed on the steel plate deeper knife marks, knife marks will hook the paper cut, so that the paper breaks, broken. Solution: Adjust the paper pressure to make it appropriate and uniform.

04 Problems from the creasing die

Storage time is too long or bad quality, improper preservation environment, resulting in indentation fuzzy surface glue, under the action of high pressure, will also stick to the paper, can be appropriate puff some talcum powder; indentation die surface is not smooth, or indentation die in the molding process due to the invasion of paper dust loss of adhesion and wing up, will also hook the paper to make the paper broken; need to replace the indentation die or use glue to remedy.

05 die-cutting machine chattering teeth problems

Die cutting machine in the process of use, if the thickness of the paper changes greatly, easily lead to chattering teeth lose flexibility and can not chatter paper, individual chattering teeth on the paper tension is too large, and the paper broken; should be timely adjustment of chattering teeth, so that the paper tension evenly.

Automatic die-cutting and creasing machines: Best uses and applications

Since the introduction of automatic die-cutting machinery, programmable media forming tools have flourished. The device works like a Zen master living in a flexible industrial engine that machine creases processed media as if it were producing some perfectly folded origami structure. As colorful as this opening description sounds, it really is a powerful introduction to the best uses and applications for this self-regulating device. Automated box and carton construction The programmable die-cutting assembly works in concert with the creasing module to cut the contours of boxes and cartons from rigid card stock. Assembled without staples or tape, high tolerance cuts and crease line slots are sewn together to form boxes and beverage cartons. Not surprisingly, this industrial and commercial base has outpaced all other applications, with the packaging industry growing year after year as more and more goods come from online retailers and their warehouses.   Glass and mortar storefronts ...

Understanding the Die-cutting Process in Custom Packaging

The die-cutting process is a popular manufacturing technique in the packaging industry. It involves the use of dies used to cut soft materials into various packaging designs and shapes. The ability to produce custom packaging in volume is where the true value of the die-cutting process lies. Die-cut packaging is easier, faster and more cost effective, allowing for the creation of custom packaging on a larger scale.  In this article, we'll explore the die-cutting process and its role in custom packaging.  You will also see.  ● Die-cut boxes explained in detail ● How cutting dies are made ●Die-cutting technology  ● The FEFCO corrugated packaging category  ● Finishing options that complement die-cut box design   Understanding the die-cutting process A cutting die is essentially a giant cookie cutter that is pressed into the material to form the desired shape of the package. Die cutting has come a long way from its origins in the shoe industry during the indust...

How are cutting dies made?

The development of cutting die technology and manufacturing techniques ensures the most efficient and accurate   die-cut box design . Typically, the package outline is generated by Computer-Aided Design (CAD). This digital drawing is transferred to a piece of hardwood called a template.  The most sophisticated method of drawing the design on the template is to burn it on the wood surface using a state-of-the-art laser cutter.  The introduction of the laser in this process ensures greater accuracy in drawing on the moldboard.  Cutting dies are made using metal strips called rule or steel rule. The cutting rule is shaped into shape using a rule bender, which bends, cuts and grooves the steel into the desired shape.   Multiple cutting rules can be used in the die cutting process. Each rule has its own function and purpose, depending on the complexity of the package.  Some of the most common rule options are. ● Through-cutting: Through-cutting cuts the packagin...
